I had the pleasure of taking a lovely mini vacation in Montauk, NY. Even in the chilly months, this Hamptons destination is beautiful and fun; perhaps more so now that the tourists are gone. I hiked through the stunning Shadmoor State Park (see the Instagrams at the bottom) which affords breathtaking views of the Atlantic Ocean and the jagged cliffs bordering the beach, explored some of the funky local hang out spots, and stalked a monarch butterfly flitting around the seaside goldenrod at Montauk Point State Park. It was a much needed peaceful getaway from the craziness of city life.
